Healthcare
As the only nurse in the house, writing and advising on healthcare policy will be a priority of mine in Jeff City. My goals will be to:
Bring science and experienced based policy to the floor
Make Missouri a safe and desirable place for healthcare workers
Ensure better access to healthcare for all Missourians

Reproductive Healthcare
As a nurse I know the exam room is sacred space. The only time an extremist politician should be in an exam room is when they are the patient. Medical decisions are private, between a patient and her doctor and I promise to work to restore that freedom as your Representative.
Bans are outright dangerous and I never have and never will support them.

Education
I have three children who have loved their time at Columbia Public Schools. My wife and I have been so grateful for the opportunities that have been afforded to all of them. As your representative my education goals are:
To defend our schools from more attacks from Jefferson City
To make Missouri Public Schools a place teachers want to work
To protect all kids in school
-
Working Families
As a former janitor in the ICU, hospital clerk and now nurse, I am no stranger to the issues middle class families face every day. We deserve the rights to:
Organize for what we deserve in the workplace
Protect our small businesses
Support our families
-
Environment
Not only do I believe in protecting the natural beauty of Missouri, but I also recognize the health impact of climate change on everyone. In Jeff City my sustainable goals will be to :
Work with experts to create science based policy to help Missourians protect the environment
Create systems to help Missourians affected by climate disasters
Improve air quality to minimize childhood asthma

Gun Violence
I have seen first hand the long term affects of gun violence, not only the physical scars, but also the invisible ones from their trauma. It is an epidemic everywhere, including in Missouri.
As a Mom’s Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate I promise to work for common sense gun laws in Missouri.
Until and after we achieve this, I will work to grow mental health resources across the state to both prevent these tragedies and support victims.
